North Dakota pics

The kids are finally back. They spent 2 1/2 weeks in ND with grandma and grandpa. Amazingly enough everyone survived. I was really worried about grandma and grandpa, but they are more patient than I thought they were. 3 kids for that long is a lot of work.
I just thought I would post some of the pictures they took. It looks like everyone had a lot of fun.

Cecret Lake

After the race last friday I decided to go on a nice, peaceful hike with Trish. Since my legs were tired we Cecret Lake was the hike of choice. It's a short hike, not much elevation, and of course there's a beautiful lake at the top.
We thought we would enjoy the nice sounds of nature, big mistake! Apparently a lot of people had the same idea, except that everybody else had their kids with them.
It was still nice. Being outside in the summer is always great. The wild flowers were amazing.

Trish posing for some pics!

I can't believe how much snow is still up in the mountains!

Deseret News 10K race

My sisters Sarah and Jen finally talked me into running with them. I'm not a runner. I just don't see the point in running just for fun!
So on the 24th I got up at 4am to be at my sister's house at 5am. The race started at 6:08am up at Research Park (UofU) and ended at Liberty Park.
It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. On the last 1 1/2 mile there were people lining the streets waiting for the parade to start. They were all cheering for the runners. Some were handing out donuts and hot dogs (not sure who would eat it as they were running).
I will definitely do it again. Who knows maybe I'll go for a half marathon next time!

Sarah running. She's so serious!

And then me bored as usual, looking for something interesting around me.
