Kids 2008 Halloween Recital

This Halloween both of the kids played in a piano recital. This is Cameron's 2nd year playing and Isabelle's first. Cameron doesn't get nervous at all. He loves playing for other people. Isabelle thinks more about it, and worries more about making a mistake. They both did really well. I love watching them play. We have a lot of fun learning the Halloween songs. The kids love learning a song out of their regular curriculum. These are fun songs they get to learn. Hopefully they will continue to enjoy playing.

Cam played "On the Prowl"

Belle played "Goblins Dance"

Camilla's B-day

Last Friday was my sister Camilla's b-day. She turned 27, and she thinks she is so old. It's kind of fun to tease her and make her feel older.
She decided to celebrate her birthday in Park City. It was a lot of fun to go there with my sisters. We did a little shopping, had dinner, and went kind of dancing...the guys weren't really up for it; so the girls danced for a couple of songs, then we came home.
On Sunday we had dinner at Sarah's house. Camilla got to pick the menu. So of course we had some Brazilian food. It was so yummy. I'm so glad my mom is such a good cook!

Cam's 8th B-day

Last weekend we celebrated Cameron's 8th b-day. He was so excited about it.

Cam is such a fun kid. He is full of energy, always happy. He loves reading, playing the piano, riding his bike, being with friends and family. He wants to be friends with everyone. He always tries to make people laugh. You can't help but be happy around him.

I can't believe he is 8 already. It seems like he was just a baby yesterday. He is growing so fast. I worry so much, is he going to make the right choices? Is he going to make good friends? Will he always be this nice? Amos always tells me I worry too much; that I just have to trust him, and guide him along the way.

We always let the kids pick what they want to do for their b-day. This year Cameron decided he wanted to take his friends to watch Madagascar 2. So we took 11 kids to the theater. YES 11 kids! Thankfully they were very nice. I couldn't believe they all sat and watch the whole movie.

After the movie we came home for cake and presents. We still had time before the parents were coming to pick them up, so we decided to play some Rock Band. The boys had a lot of fun. None of them wanted to sing, so Isabelle sang all the songs. She loves the microphone.

After having the party with his friends, we decided to celebrate with family. So we had Amos' family over for dinner on Saturday night, and my family on Sunday night. We had a lot of fun with everybody. Cameron loved being the center of attention. I'm glad he had such a good time; and excited for many more birthdays to come.

Some pictures

We got our family pictures back. I'm so excited! I think they turned out way cute. I know as a mom I'm biased, but Cam and Belle look so adorable!

Cameron finally smiled, even though he says you can only see his top 2 teeth, because they are so big...ha ha ha

We had a lot of fun taking pictures. Isabelle had a hard time wearing a dress. She just wanted to clim up on the rocks like the boys. Her tights were brown when we got home.

Family Pictures

The weather this last saturday was great. Amos' family decided to go up Little Cottonwood Canyon for some pictures.

All the colors were amazing. The mountains are so beautiful this time a year.

Cam and Belle looked so cute. They are almost the same height and weight. Sometimes in pictures they look like twins.
They had so much fun climbing up rocks and posing for pictures. We could have spent hours there.

Amos decided to take some nature pictures. He has really enjoyed taking pictures.

Isabelle was so cute. She's been getting "girlier". She loves wearing dresses, getting her hair done. Amos and I are in deep trouble...

Halloween Parties

Amos' cousin and his wife have a Halloween party every year. We always try to go. This year the kids had a lot of fun with all the activities Trish and Cody had planned out for them. They played "goo relay", apple bobbing, and painted pumpkins...

The party is always a lot of fun. It's a great way to start Halloween.

Rusty was having a lot of fun making spiders with tootsie roll suckers.

Cameron loved getting his hand dirty in the goo and running in the backyard.

Isabelle brought her little friend Grace. They had so much fun spraying their hair black and playing together.

Amos also had fun making spiders. He had a little too much to drink that night. He was very happy, until we got home and the fun turned into sickness...ha ha ha

Cam tried the apple bobbing. He was able to get 2 apples out. Some girls were able to get 7 apples out in 30 seconds!

Then on Halloween day we had our families come over to play Rock Band. We all had a blast. It's so fun to watch each other play and sing. Most of us are not great singers, so we always laugh when we get booed out.

We always end up kicking people out so that we can go to bed. Yes, Amos and I are old and like to go to bed early...he he he

Daniel looked so cute in his cow costume. He is such a good baby. He sure gets spoiled around my sisters and I. We never put him down.

Sarah and Clayton had great costumes. I love Clayton's "nacho libre mask". I wish he would have given us a little impersonation.

Camilla's wig was also great. She always dresses up. I guess I'm the "party pooper" sister that never dresses up.

Trick or Treating

This year our ward decided to have a "trunk or treat" at the church. We took the kids there and they had so much fun!!!

Some of the kids' cousins came with us. All the kids looked so great in their costumes. They were so excited to get as much candy as possible.

Carving Pumpkins

Every year we have always gone to a pumpkin patch and let the kids pick out pumpkins. This year we decided to try growing some and see what we would get. Well, our garden did great and we got some really big, nice pumpkins.

We had so much fun! Cameron and Belle picked their own designs. They loved going to our backyars and picking out their pumpkins.
