Baby Shower

My brother Sam and his wife are so cute together. They are expecting a little boy, Ethan. I can't wait for him to get here!

My brother is kind of clueless about babies. It's been fun to hear his comments, such as him thinking that all babies are about 2 lbs when they are born, or that a box of wipes will last at least a year.

I'm sure they will be great parents. They are very excited. And they will have lots of family to help with whaterver they need.

Last saturday we had a baby shower for them. It was a lot of fun. Roberta's friends and family came over. She got lots of good stuff.

Snowboarding

Last year we decided we needed to get into some winter sports. We do a lot in the summer, but winters have always been kind of slow. So for Christmas this year we got our kids snowboards.

I knew Cameron would love it, but I wans't sure about Isabele. She is getting girlier and girlier the older she gets. But she loved it!

The kids have had a lot of fun going with dad. Maybe one of these days I will get brave enough to go try it out!

Wisdom Teeth

Not sure why we call it wisdom teeth. Because if we were really wise, we wouldn't go through the pain of having them extracted.

After so many years of having people tell me I should have mine pulled, I finally got the guts to do it. I was so nervous. I don't know why I'm so afraid of getting any dental work done. I work at a dental office! I should be comfortable sitting on that chair!

Anyway, everything went fine. Thanks goodness for nitrous!

Sledding

New Year's

Every year on the 1st of January my family gets together and eats Japanese food. My mom says we do it for good luck. Maybe this year it will really work, and I'll have lots of it...ha ha ha

We always have a lot of fun together. This year we got together at my sister Jen's house. The girls (I should say, some of the worth it.

Good Old Times

A few days before Christmas some of my friends from Brazil came to visit. We use to live in the same town. We spent a lot of weekends together doing stupid stuff. It was nice to see them. It brought back lots of good memories from my teenage life.

It's amazing how much you forget as you get older and have kids. I really hope Amos and I don't pay for everything we put our parents through. Specially everything Amos put his parents through...

Talking about old times really makes me miss all my friends and family that live in Brazil. It's easy to focus on life here. There's always so much going on. Talking to old friends reminds me of all the fun stuff I use to do.

I wonder if everyone has changed as much as I have? I can't picture everyone different. I'm sure I will be quite shocked when I go back to visit.

Christmas Day

I love Christmas. It's my favorite holiday. We always have so much fun.

This year it was really nice. We didn't have to rush to see everyone. We were actually able to enjoy the time we spent with each family.

We don't get up really early because we stay up really late with my family the night before. I always wake up before the kids. I love watching their faces when they wake up and see all their presents. I think that is the best part of the day.

Christmas Eve with my family

My family always celebrates Christmas Eve. We get together around 9pm. I know it sounds late, but it's actually a lot of fun.

We always have a big dinner. My sisters and I try to come up with a different menu every year. We love to cook (I should say, some of us do), so finding different recipes it's great.

Jen, Camilla, Sarah, and Erika. My sisters love taking pictures.

Crystal, Isabelle, and Cameron. They love playing together. Isabelle and Crystal really like High School Musical. They talked Cameron into playing the game with them.

My mom and my cute nephew Daniel.

My family playing Guitar Hero 4. We always have to play when we get together.

My dad and all the kids.

We had so much fun that night. I love Christmas!

Christmas Lights at Temple Square

Every year we take the kids to go see the Christmas lights at Temple Square. We go with Amos' family. We usually meet at Squatters to eat and then go walk around with the kids. It's always a lot of fun.

This year though, it was really cold. You know is cold when the kids are asking you when we can go home.

We just walked around very quickly and left.
