Wright Summer Family Reunion

Bell Canyon

This was another fun hike Trish and I did last week. It's been fun to go on different hikes, talk, and take pictures.
Amos was in Wendover golfing with his dad this time. He had the charger for our camera, so I had to take pictures with our video camera. They turned out ok.

Brazilian Food

About a month ago my mom moved in with my brother Sam and his wife Roberta. So we decided to have a "welcoming" party, just as an excuse to get together.

At first we were going to cook some Japanese food, but none of us wanted to spend the time preparing and cooking everything. So we decided coxinhas was a much better choice.

As kids we loved when my mom coxinhas. She has a really good recipe. It's always nice to get together and remember the good old times.

Daniel was so cute that night. He was posing for pictures and giggling after seeing them in the camera.

It was a lot of fun!

Flaming Gorge

We always try to go to Flaming Gorge in august, because is warm. Well this year, not so much. It was actually kind of cold. I didn't get in the water at all. Cam and Izzie did on Sunday (the warmest day).
We still had a lot of fun. We went fishing, visited the Dam, and of course enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
Grandma and Grandpa Hoover are always so nice. We love visiting them. They make us feel very welcome. Thank you grandma and grandpa!!!

My first french braid ever

I finally decided to attempt french braiding. I'm not very good at doing Izzie's hair. But lately she has been more into girly things, so I thought I should give it a try.
I thought it looked awesome! I don't think she enjoyed sitting for as long as she did, but I told her with practice it would go faster.

Cecret Lake again, but with the kids this time

I guess this year Amos and I are on an outdoor kick. We've really enjoyed hiking, biking, running...everything.
Last Sunday we decided to take the kids on a hike. We want them to enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. Cecret Lake was the hike of choice. It's a very easy, short hike. You can make shorter by taking a shuttle up and down for part of the hike. Since we had the kids, we decided to take the shuttle up and walk all the way down.
The hike was about 2.5 miles total. We had a lot of fun. We saw a moose, some chipmunks, giant bees, and lots of beautiful wild flowers.

Dad holding the kids' hands so they wouldn't slip going downhill...so sweet!
