Our Garden

This year Amos decided we needed more garden space to grow more vegetables. If it was up to him we wouldn't have any grass in our backyard, we would have a giant garden. We compromised on the space. We still have some grass, but more garden area.

We planted a wider variety than we did last year. We are very excited. We also did a lot of flower pots on our deck and some flower beds. Our backyard is finally half way decent. Maybe one of these years we will have it all done.

We are going to get lots of peaches this year. The tree is finally going to put off some fruit.

We will also get some apples. We don't know what kind of apples. I guess we will find out!

This is our pumpkin patch. Last year we didn't have to buy any pumpkins for Halloween. We had more than what we needed. The kids loved going in the backyard and picking their pumpkins.

This is our new garden space. Amos decided to grow the squashes on the wire fence. last year we had some grow the fence we have for peas. Maybe these plants won't take over all the space like they did last year. We also have 19 tomato plants. I don't know what we were thinking!

This is our original garden area. We have all sorts of peppers, lettuce, spinach, cabbage, strawberry, blackberry, grapes, peas, carrots, onions, cucumbers, cauliflower, collard greens, cantaloupe, watermelon, and some herbs. So far everything is growing. It will be very nice when we start eating some of this stuff.

These are some of the flowers we have. As the others bloom I will post more pictures.
